CCM Ventures LLC (CCM) seeks to complement Dubin Clark’s traditional focus on the middle market by investing in lower middle market companies with revenues below $20 million and cash flow below $2 million.

CCM will provide the necessary tools, financing and guidance to create an institutional quality infrastructure allowing nascent companies the strength to grow and prosper over a 3-7 year investment horizon. Our focus is on US-based companies with the ability to consolidate add-on acquisitions, thereby diversifying revenue while gaining market share and providing cost synergies with a lower risk profile. Geographic preferences are the Northeast and California, though all regions will be considered. Ideally, the target company will possess either a retiring founder or entrepreneur seeking to bring their companies to the next level. CCM Ventures LLC will provide Board level support, while maintaining intimate relationships with portfolio companies.

Michael Legg, Principal and founder of CCM Ventures LLC, has more than 20 years of direct investment experience focusing primarily on small-cap emerging growth companies. Prior to CCM, Michael worked for a $5.6 billion PE fund focusing on non-core embedded assets within large industrial companies. He was a partner and portfolio manager at GS Asset Management, a small cap value hedge fund, posting 15% annual returns over a five year period, outperforming the markets. Further, he’s helped premier small cap companies raise over $7 billion of growth capital including Staples, Starbucks, Corporate Express, Mantech, Safeguard Scientifics, and Central Garden and Pet, while at Alex. Brown & Sons, Jefferies Group, and Prudential Securities.
